Overview

Residual chlorine electrode

Product Details

Adopting advanced constant voltage principle for measuring residual chlorine in water. This method utilizes a stable potential applied between the polarizing electrode and the reference electrode, and different measured components generate different current intensities at this potential. The instrument calculates the concentration of the measured component by collecting and analyzing the current signal.

The residual chlorine electrode has a simple structure, is easy to clean and replace, and does not require the replacement of membranes and reagents during electrode use. It is easy to maintain and ensures the stability, reliability, and accuracy of the instrument's long-term operation.

The working principle of residual chlorine electrode is to apply a stable potential between the polarizing electrode and the reference electrode, and different measured components generate different current intensities at this potential. The instrument calculates the concentration of the measured component by collecting and analyzing the current signal. The residual chlorine sensor has a simple structure, is easy to clean and replace, and does not require the replacement of membranes and reagents during electrode use. It is easy to maintain and ensures the stability, reliability, and accuracy of the instrument's long-term operation.

The contamination of the sensing head of the electrode can lead to inaccurate measurements, and high alkalinity water samples, sludge, oils, lipids, etc. can contaminate the electrode. Regular cleaning and inspection of the electrode sensing head are essential. If the electrode sensing head is contaminated, please use lens paper to wipe off the sediment on the platinum ring of the electrode. If necessary, soak it in a 2% HCL solution for 5-10 seconds, and then use lens paper to wipe off the pollutants on the electrode head. If cleaned with a 2% HCL solution, the electrode needs to be placed in the tested water sample for about 3 hours before it can be used normally.
After electrode cleaning, please recalibrate the system.
