In winter weather such as rain and snow, roads are prone to icing, causing various potential risks for pedestrians and even leading to personal injury accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct ice accumulation detection on some important road sections to remind road maintenance departments to take timely measures and avoid the occurrence of serious accidents. The ice accumulation detection sensor produced by our company adopts microwave electrical signal detection technology, with temperature detection and compensation functions. It is installed on suitable road sections and can detect real-time status data such as water accumulation, watering, icing, and icing thickness.
The sensor has a simple structure and is easy to install. It comes with an RS485 communication interface and can communicate using Modbus RTU protocol. It can also be set to send data at regular intervals to meet the diverse communication needs of users.

6、 Installation method
1. Installed at the location where icing needs to be detected, the surface detection antenna is exposed near the icing point.
2. Pay attention to protecting the detection antenna part during installation to prevent collision.

1. Using RS485 bus structure, the serial port baud rate is 9600, data bit 8, stop bit 1, and parity bit none.

9、 Attention to use
(1) Users should check the surface condition before the freezing season to prevent it from being covered by large debris.
(2) Wait for 3 minutes after each power on before entering normal measurement mode.
