1、 Usage Description
1. It is an automatic rotating continuous tablet pressing machine, which is the basic equipment for processing various granular raw materials into tablets in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and other industrial sectors.
2. It is suitable for the production and pressing of various round tablets, sugar tablets, calcium tablets, etc. in large or small batches of multiple varieties.
3. It is not suitable for pressing semi-solid, damp powders.
2、 Structural features
1. The upper half of this machine is a tablet pressing structure: it mainly consists of three parts: upper punch, middle die, and lower punch, which are connected into one. Around it, 19 sets of punch dies are evenly arranged on the edge of the turntable, and the tail of the upper and lower punch rods are embedded on a fixed curved guide rail. When the turntable rotates, the upper and lower punches move up and down with the curved guide rail to achieve the purpose of tablet pressing.
2. The main work process is divided into: ⑴ filling; ⑵ Tablet pressing; ⑶ Release the film. The three procedures are carried out continuously, and there is an adjustment control mechanism for filling and pressing, accompanied by a nameplate for easy operation.
3. This machine adopts a flow grid feeding mechanism, which can evenly fill the mold holes with materials and reduce the difference in sheet weight.
4. The electric motor is installed inside the machine base, and a worm drive turntable is driven by a V-belt. A continuously variable speed pulley is installed on the motor shaft, and the speed can be adjusted freely through the movement of the motor. It is safe, reliable, and noise free to use.
5. The side of the machine base is equipped with a powder suction box, which includes a blower, a powder storage room, and a powder filter room. When the machine is running at high speed, it produces flying powder and powder that falls from the middle mold, which is discharged through the powder suction nozzle to prevent sticking and blockage, and maintain smooth and normal operation.
3、 Construction Description
1. Upper pressure wheel frame device
The upper cover is an integral casting with a pressure wheel installed in the groove, which is fitted onto the crankshaft. The outer end of the shaft is connected to a mechanical rod and a spiral spring. When the pressure wheel surface is under excessive pressure, the eccentric torque of the crankshaft acts to compress the spring, increasing the distance between the upper and lower pressure wheels and reducing the pressure to protect the safe use of the parts and the die. The pressure is adjusted by rotating the flower shaped handle to change the length of the spring, so that the pressure of the spring is just as needed.
2. Upper guide rail device
The guide plate is in the shape of a disc, surrounded by heat-treated guide plates that are fastened with screws. The groove at the tail of the upward punch runs along the convex edge of the guide rail, and performs a trajectory of lifting and lowering motion.
3. 17 hole turntable device
The turntable is a one-piece casting with 17 vertically and uniformly arranged mold holes around it. There are 17 sets of stamping dies installed in the holes, which are mounted on a fixed vertical shaft as a whole. During operation, it is driven by a worm gear, and the overall turntable rotates clockwise while holding all the stamping dies.
4. Transmission shaft with clutch device
The transmission shaft is horizontally installed in the bearing bracket, with a worm in the middle, a test handwheel at the front end, and a conical disc clutch at the rear end. There is a handle to control the switch and parking. The contact of the clutch is transmitted by the pressure of the coil spring. If the load of the machine exceeds the pressure of the spring, it will slip, so as not to cause serious damage to the machine.
5. Feeder device
Round bucket conical bottom hopper and moon shaped reflux grate feeder are used to feed the pressing wheel for pressing. The device of the feeder should be calibrated to the point where it will collide with the rotating disc surface, leaving a gap of 0.03-0.1 millimeters. The gap can be adjusted by the support device. The method of adjusting the powder quantity is to have a rolling screw at the top of the hopper rack. To adjust the height of the hopper and control the flow rate of the powder, its height must be based on the size and filling amount of the particles. It can be observed that the accumulated amount of powder in the grid feeder should not overflow to be qualified. After adjustment, tighten the side rolling screws.
6. Main body, lower rail guide, and lower pressure wheel device
The main body is a square box shaped structure with a rectangular groove containing a lower pressing wheel. A pair of heat-treated rail guides are installed on its plane and fastened with screws. When the lower pressing is in operation, its tail is embedded in the rail guide groove and moves up and down according to the slope of the groove. The end of the rail guide has a circular hole covered with a circular area sheet for the purpose of lower pressing. The lower pressing wheel is installed in the groove of the main body and is fitted on the crankshaft. The outer end of the crankshaft is connected to a helical gear and a worm, which rotates slightly through the reduction of the gear. When the eccentricity of the shaft is upward, the pressing wheel rises, and the pressure increases, resulting in a thinner sheet and a thicker sheet, thereby controlling the thickness and hardness of the sheet. Due to the self-locking effect of the helical gear, adjustment is allowed during operation, but after adjustment, the middle flower shaped handle should be tightened.
7. Filling adjustment device
The filling adjustment mechanism device is located inside the main body, and a moon shaped filling track can be observed on the plane of the main body. It controls the filling amount by rising or falling through the action of a spiral. The scale on the dial on the disc ranges from 0-45, which is equal to 0.01 millimeters of filling amount per grid. When the disc is rotated for adjustment, the filling amount increases when turned to the right and decreases when turned to the left. A 0-15 gauge is installed on the right side of the disc as the filling amount, measured in millimeters.
8. Machine base and motor device
The machine base is a three-dimensional square box shaped structure, and the electric motor is mounted on a movable plate inside the base. When adjusting the speed, the circular speed control handwheel outside the machine base is rotated. When adjusting, first loosen the roller nut at the center of the handwheel and then rotate the handwheel. Rotate it to the left quickly and to the right slowly. After adjustment, tighten the roller nut. The machine base is equipped with electrical appliances, and an ammeter, button switch, and red green indicator light are installed on the front door. The red light is on when the power is turned on. Indicates that the circuit is electrified. When the motor is started, the red light goes out and the green light is on, indicating that the motor is running normally. The ammeter is used to measure the load of the motor.
9. Powder suction device
The powder suction box is a rectangular prism installed on the left side of the machine base. There is a blower behind it, which is driven by a triangular belt. The lower part is the powder storage chamber, and the upper part is the powder filter chamber. There are 5 circular powder filter bags inside. When the blower is working, it generates suction force, causing the fly powder generated on the die and the powder falling from the middle die to fall into the powder storage chamber through the powder suction tube. The gas then turns upward and is discharged through the powder filter bag. The micro particles contained in the gas remain in the powder filter bag. Therefore, after a certain period of use, the powder filter bag may become clogged and lose its effectiveness. At this time, the vehicle must be stopped, and the powder particles in the powder filter bag and the powder storage tray can be discharged by opening the door. Pay attention to the isosceles triangle device between the door and the powder tube. Leakage at the junction, otherwise it will affect the efficiency of powder absorption.
10. C-type continuously variable transmission wheel device
It is installed on the motor shaft and has two inclined blades inside. It is supported by 12 spiral springs on both sides to generate positive pressure. The speed change method is to move the motor to change the distance between the two wheels, and the triangular belt increases or decreases the radius in the blade groove accordingly. Due to the change in radius, the speed changes, thus achieving a certain range of continuously variable transmission requirements.
4、 Die assembly method
Before installing the punching device, the hopper, powder feeder, feeder frame and other parts should be removed first, and the working surface, mold holes and installed punching dies of the turntable should be wiped clean one by one to prepare for the installation according to the following steps.
(1) Medium mold device: Pull out the fixing screws of the medium mold on the turntable piece by piece and align them with the outer circular area of the turntable. Do not let the medium mold fit into contact with the head of the screw. The medium mold device is very tight and should be placed flat. You can use a medium mold rod (random tool) to punch a hole and insert it into the mold, which is used to gently drive the hammer into the mold. If the plane of the hole cannot be higher than the plane of the turntable, it is qualified, and then tighten the screw.
(2) Upward punching device: The notch of the upper guide plate should be inserted with a tongue, and the tail of the middle rod should be coated with some vegetable oil. Insert each piece into the hole, rotate the punching rod with the thumb and index finger, and check that the head enters the middle mold up and down and rotates flexibly. It is qualified if there is no hard rubbing phenomenon. After all are installed, the tongue should be pulled down.
(3) Downward punch device: Open the small door on the main body and install it through the circular hole on the main body. The installation method is the same as the upward punch, and after installation, the circular disk must be covered flat.
(4) After all the stamping dies are assembled, install the removed parts in their original positions, and continue to rotate the test wheel by hand to make the turntable rotate 1-2 turns. Observe the up and down punch entering the middle mold hole and moving on the curve guide, which must be flexible without collision or hard rubbing. Start the electric motor and let the empty car run for 2-3 minutes. Once it is stable and normal, it can be put into production.
5、 Instructions for use
1. Before use, it is necessary to repeatedly check the quality of the die, whether there are missing edges, cracks, deformations, and incomplete tightness, and whether the device is complete and in good condition.
2. Check whether the powder of the granular raw material is dry and whether the powder content in the granules does not exceed 10%. If it is not qualified, do not press it hard, otherwise it will affect the normal operation, service life, and material loss of the machine.
3. For the initial test run, the indicator needle controlled by the pressure regulator should be placed on the 6th, the powder should be poured into the bucket, and the test handwheel should be turned by hand to adjust the filling and pressure, gradually increasing the weight and hardness of the tablets to meet the requirements of the finished product. Then, the electric motor should be started first, and the clutch should be opened for formal production. During the production process, the quality of the tablets should be checked regularly to see if they meet the requirements, and adjustments should be made if necessary.
4. The choice of speed has a direct impact on the service life of the machine. Due to the nature, viscosity, sheet size, and pressure of the raw materials, which cannot be uniformly regulated in use, the structure of this machine is a continuously variable transmission device. Slow speed is suitable for pressing minerals, plant pigments, large sheet sizes, viscosity differences, and materials that are difficult to form quickly. Quick and suitable for pressing adhesive, smooth and easy to form materials. Therefore, the user must determine according to the actual situation.
5. Management personnel must be familiar with the technical performance, internal structure, and operating principles of the control mechanism of the machine. During operation, they must not open the work site to prevent damage to the components due to malfunctions and ensure safety production as a prerequisite.
6. During use, always pay attention to whether the machine noise is normal. If there are screaming or strange noises, stop the machine immediately for inspection and elimination. Do not use it forcefully.
6、 Mechanical lubrication
1. The general lubrication of the machine's components is equipped with oil cups and nozzles on the surface of the components. According to the type of oil cup, butter and engine oil can be added separately. Before driving, all components should be lubricated once, and they can be added midway according to the temperature rise and operating conditions of each bearing.
2. The glass oil cup on the top is used to lubricate the turntable and bearings, with 2-4 drops per minute during operation.
3. The screw cap oil cup on the worm is used to lubricate the worm gear, and is added according to the actual lubrication situation during operation.
4. The two ends of the transmission shaft are equipped with rolling bearings, and the shaft housing is equipped with oil nozzles, which can be refilled every two weeks and pressed in with an oil gun.
5. The tail of the punch rod and the curved rail guide should be lubricated with butter, but it should not be too much to prevent oil stains from infiltrating the powder and affecting the quality of the tablets.
6. When refueling, be careful not to let the oil overflow out of the cup, let alone flow around the machine and on the ground, because oil can easily contaminate the material and affect the quality of the tablets.
7、 Maintenance instructions
1. Regularly inspect the mechanical components, 1-2 times a month, to check whether the moving parts such as worm gear, worm gear, bearings, pressure wheel, crankshaft, upper and lower guide rails are rotating flexibly and worn. If any defects are found, they should be repaired and used in a timely manner.
2. After a single use or shutdown, the remaining powder should be removed and the residual powder in the machine name section should be cleaned. If the machine has been out of use for a long time, the punching die must be completely removed and the machine must be wiped clean. The smooth surface of the machine should be coated with anti rust oil and covered with a cloth canopy.
3. The maintenance of the stamping die should be placed in a covered iron box, so that the stamping die is fully immersed in oil and kept clean to prevent rust and damage. Customized iron boxes can be used to pack each specification in one box, which can avoid installation errors during use and help to grasp the damage situation.
4. The place of use should be regularly cleaned, especially for pharmaceutical and edible tablet manufacturing, where there should be no dust or flying dust present.
8、 Installation instructions
1. This machine is packed as a whole and can be moved to a suitable place of use after unpacking. After leveling, it can be used. If the position is fixed, foot screws can be added.
2. Electrical circuits and devices should pay attention to voltage. For those not specified by the user, the voltage should be set at 380 volts. When wiring, attention should be paid to the direction of the motor rotation, which must be in the direction of the arrow on the machine. Do not reverse it. To ensure electrical safety, an effective grounding wire must be installed.
3. This machine should be used indoors in a dry, clean, and well lit environment.
9、 Precautions
1. The protective covers, safety covers, and other devices on the machinery and equipment should not be removed, but should be installed properly when in use.
2. Stamping dies need to undergo strict flaw detection tests and external inspections, with no cracks, deformations, or missing edges, suitable hardness, and accurate size. If they are not qualified, they should not be used to avoid serious damage to the machine.
3. The particle size of the powder should not exceed 100 mesh, as it will cause more powder to fly in the upper punch and more material to leak in the lower punch, affecting the mechanical parts and easily causing wear, sticking, and material loss.
4. Do not use non dry raw materials as they can cause the powder to stick to the punch surface.
5. If there are any jumping or stuck pieces during operation, do not use your hands to retrieve them to avoid hand injury accidents.
6. When driving, you should first turn on the electric motor and wait for it to run normally before starting the clutch.
7. If abnormal vibrations or strange noises are found during use, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
8. During use, the pressure should not be too high. Generally, the load of the electric motor is used to determine the load. When using a 380V electric motor for tablet pressing, the normal overload current should not exceed 4 amperes.
9. Increase in tablet weight difference: During the pressure process, if the weight difference exceeds the limit specified in the pharmacopoeia, it is considered qualified. However, during the tablet pressing process, it is often found that the tablet weight difference increases. The reasons and treatment methods are briefly described as follows:
(1) Uneven length of punch heads can easily increase the difference in chip weight. Therefore, before use, check each punch head with a caliper and use it again. If there are individual pieces with light weight, it may be due to the failure of the downward movement, resulting in less particle filling than others. Individual downward movements should be checked to eliminate obstacles.
(2) Blockage of feeding hopper or granulator: During tablet pressing, if the particles used are small, sticky or wet, and there are occasional foreign objects such as cotton yarn heads and tablets mixed in, the flow is not smooth, which reduces the amount of particles added to the mold hole and affects the tablet weight. If the tablet weight suddenly decreases, stop the machine for inspection.
(3) Particles can cause changes in flake weight: particles that are too wet, have too much fine powder, have large differences in particle size, and lack of lubricant in the particles can also cause changes in flake weight. Therefore, particle quality should be improved.
(4) The reason for the change in tablet weight is generally due to the malfunction or negligence of the tablet press. Therefore, during the tablet pressing process, maintenance work should be done, and the parts should be carefully inspected for damage. The tablet weight should be weighed at regular intervals (10-20 minutes) to ensure that it meets the regulations.
