YMC-PackODS-AQ is a unique reverse phase filler with both hydrophobic carbon chains and hydrophilic silica gel surfaces, which can be "wetted" by polar mobile phases. Therefore, ODS-AQ can ensure the reproducibility of retention time and excellent chromatographic peak shape in high water phase or even 100% pure water phase, which is almost impossible in conventional ODS stationary phase.

In the high water phase mobile phase, ODS-AQ has a longer retention time than conventional ODS, based on the hydrophilic properties of the silica gel particle surface.
