The plum blossom petal shaped candle rod is the core of this filter. This design makes filtration more efficient while ensuring that the filter cake adheres to the filter element without falling off during the entire cycle filtration process, as well as the ability to unload the cake. When the material passes through the filter cloth, the clear liquid flowing out flows through the outer tube of the candle rod to the bottom of the candle rod, and then converges and rises to the collecting rod at the bottom of the central tube.
When the liquid passes through the filter cloth, solid substances in the liquid will gradually accumulate on the surface of the filter cloth. When these solid substances reach a certain thickness, a so-called "filter cake layer" is formed. Due to the small gaps between particles in the filter cake layer, the escape of impurities in the liquid particles is blocked, which makes the filtrate clear and achieves the required filtration effect for production. Therefore, candle filters are also known as cake filters.
After a certain period of normal filtration, if the filter cake layer exceeds a certain thickness and the rate of filtrate passing through the filter cake layer decreases/the filtration efficiency deteriorates, it is necessary to clear the "filter cake layer". At this time, the system will perform a reverse blowing and cake removal operation based on the signal provided by the pressure sensor, while opening the bottom valve of the cylinder to discharge slag, and then rebuilding a new "filter cake layer" to start a new filtration cycle.
