The operation method of stainless steel colloid mill can be divided into three stages: preparation work, operation control, and maintenance and cleaning. The specific process is as follows:
1、 Preparation before operation
1. Equipment inspection
Confirm that the grinding chamber and blade are made of 304/316 stainless steel material, check if the blade wear is ≤ 0.5mm, and the grounding resistance should be ≤ 4 Ω.
Test the function of the frequency converter to ensure that the insulation layer of the power cord is not damaged.
2. Cleaning and disinfection
Wipe the grinding chamber, feed inlet, and contact parts thoroughly with 75% alcohol, with a focus on removing oil stains and metal debris.
3. Material pretreatment
The raw materials are crushed to ≤ 5mm particles, and the moisture content is controlled at 8% -12%; Hard materials require pre freezing treatment.
Remove large particles and hard debris from the raw materials to avoid damaging the grinding head.
4. Cooling system preparation
Connect the cooling water pipeline to ensure that the water pressure is ≥ 0.15Mpa, the water temperature is ≤ 25 ℃, and there are no leaks in the pipeline.
2、 Operation control process
1. Start the device
First, turn on the cooling water system, then start the motor and observe whether the equipment has any abnormal vibration or noise.
2. Gap adjustment
Rotate the adjustment ring according to the material fineness requirements: clockwise needle reduces the gap between the stator and rotor (enhances shear force, refines particles), counterclockwise increases the gap (reduces fineness).
The adjustment process should be carried out slowly to avoid component wear.
3. Feed control
Evenly and slowly feed to avoid blockage caused by excessive feeding at once; Excessive feeding speed will reduce the grinding fineness.
4. Operation monitoring
Observe the changes in material particle size and emulsification degree, and optimize the effect by adjusting the speed and gap.
3、 Shutdown and maintenance
1. Shutdown sequence
Stop feeding and idle for 2-3 minutes to remove any remaining material → turn off the motor → cut off the cooling water.
2. Thoroughly clean
Immediately rinse the grinding chamber with clean water or specialized cleaning agent, disassemble the blade and remove any residue (especially after handling viscous materials).
After cleaning, dry and disinfect with alcohol to prevent bacterial growth.
3. Regular maintenance
Check the wear level of the blade every week, and replace it if it exceeds 0.5mm; Check the grounding resistance every month.
4、 Key safety regulations
1. Strictly prohibit idling: When running without materials, dry grinding of the grinding head will seriously damage the equipment.
2. Overload protection: If there is abnormal noise or temperature rise exceeding 60 ℃, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
3. Hard object taboo: Foreign objects such as metal, sand and gravel entering will cause the blade to crack.
Note: The operation methods of vertical and horizontal colloid mills are basically the same, but the horizontal structure is more suitable for emulsifying high viscosity materials.
