Maintenance methods for laboratory vacuum emulsifier
Date: 2025-07-23Read: 5
The vacuum emulsifier must undergo systematic maintenance and upkeep in laboratory applications to ensure equipment performance and extend service life, with a focus on cleaning, sealing inspection, lubrication management, and other aspects of operation.
The key maintenance steps are as follows:
1. Daily cleaning and operation standards
Immediately clean the internal cavity and rotor components of the emulsifier after each production to prevent residue crystallization or corrosion of the equipment; It is strictly prohibited to operate the machine empty to avoid high temperature damage to seals or motors.
Before starting, repeatedly confirm that the motor direction is consistent with the spindle mark, and prohibit reverse operation; The material must be in a fluid state, and dry powder or block materials need to be pre treated before input to prevent blockage or blockage.
2. Sealing system and vacuum maintenance
Regularly inspect the shaft seals and tank seals, and if leaks are found, shut down the machine to adjust the sealing pressure or replace aging components; The oil level of the vacuum pump needs to be monitored daily, and special oil (such as ISO-VG100 grade) should be replaced every 2000 hours or six months. If the oil quality deteriorates, it should be replaced in advance.
Check the leakage points of the vacuum pipeline (such as cracks, loose interfaces), tighten or replace damaged sections in a timely manner; Clean the intake filter weekly, and for chemical environments, it is recommended to install a molecular sieve filter and perform monthly ultrasonic cleaning.
3. Component inspection and lubrication management
Regularly disassemble and inspect the wear of the fixed rotor. If the thickness decreases by 10% or there are cracks, it needs to be replaced; The inlet/outlet filters are cleaned monthly according to the material characteristics to avoid a decrease in flow rate that affects efficiency.
Add lubricating grease (such as molybdenum disulfide high-temperature grease) to the motor and reducer according to the manual cycle, and check the viscosity and acidity of the grease in advance when frequently used; The bearing temperature is monitored through infrared temperature measurement, and the outer shell does not exceed 75 ℃.
4. Exception handling and security measures
When abnormal noise, vibration or vacuum degree drops by more than 15% during operation, immediately stop the machine to investigate the source of the fault (such as oil circuit blockage or bearing damage); The electrical system requires regular calibration of instruments, and before maintenance, power off the lock box and set up safety signs.
For corrosive environments, PTFE coated components can be selected or the pump chamber can be flushed weekly with alkaline solution circulation; The working pressure of the refrigeration/heating interlayer should be maintained at ≤ 0.2MPa to avoid sealing failure caused by overheating.
Regular annual major repairs (such as rotor replacement and bearing dynamic balance testing) can significantly reduce the failure rate; Supervise and record operating parameters (vacuum degree, current, etc.) with specialized personnel to ensure safe production.
