The operation steps of the double cone rotary vacuum dryer are divided into four stages, and it is necessary to strictly follow the equipment specifications to ensure safety and drying effect:
1、 Preparation before operation
1. Equipment inspection
Check the transmission system, fastener status, and oil level at each lubrication point.
Verify the sealing of the vacuum pipeline, ensure that there is no leakage at the inlet and outlet, and that the vacuum indication value is sensitive.
Test the functionality of instruments and buttons in the electrical control cabinet to eliminate the risk of leakage or short circuit.
Start the motor with no load and monitor whether the running noise is abnormal.
2. Material loading
Powdered/slurry materials are loaded through a vacuum inlet, with a loading capacity of ≤ 50% of the container volume (avoiding lumps).
Close the feeding hole cover and wrap the filter bag at the vacuum port (the filter bag size is selected according to the material particle size).
2、 Start up and operation control
1. Establish a vacuum environment
Close the vacuum valve and start the vacuum pump to achieve a vacuum degree of -0.1 MPa (approximately 750 mmHg) inside the container.
Continuously monitor the vacuum gauge and immediately shut down for maintenance in case of abnormalities.
2. Start heating and rotation
Open the valve of the heat carrier (steam/hot water) and gradually increase the temperature according to the process (usually 20-160 ℃).
Start the motor, rotate the tank at low speed, and gradually increase the speed to the set speed.
3. Running process monitoring
Regularly monitor the interlayer temperature to prevent local overheating or clumping of materials.
Observe the vacuum gauge and pressure gauge data to maintain system stability.
During the initial drying stage, the tank needs to be rotated intermittently to prevent material adhesion.
3、 Shutdown and Unloading
1. Terminate the drying process
Close the heat transfer valve and cool the interlayer with cooling water until the material reaches room temperature.
Stop the vacuum pump and open the vacuum valve to restore normal pressure.
2. Safe unloading operation
Jogging controls the rotation of the tank body, with the discharge port vertically downward.
Open the discharge hole cover and collect the dried finished product.
Clean up the residual materials in the tank and reset the filter bag.
4、 Key safety and maintenance points
1. Water quality requirements: Soft water should be used as the heating medium to prevent pipeline scaling.
2. Intermediate sampling: The operation must be carried out after stopping the machine to release pressure, and the vacuum must be re established after the sampling is completed.
3. Bearing maintenance: Regularly lubricate transmission components (such as SKF bearings) to ensure smooth operation.
4. Filter bag management: Check the integrity of the filter bag after each use to avoid clogging the vacuum system.
Application tip: This device is particularly suitable for thermosensitive materials such as antibiotics and vitamins, reducing component degradation through vacuum low-temperature drying. Wear protective equipment throughout the operation and strictly follow the staged temperature control requirements.
