Cleaning and disinfection methods for injection water storage tanks

The cleaning of injection water storage tanks and water pipelines can be divided into two types: conventional cleaning and major cleaning. The frequency of routine cleaning (without disinfection treatment): after continuous use for one week and before resuming production within three days of shutdown.
Frequency of major cleaning and disinfection: after continuous use for 4 weeks; After equipment maintenance; Stop production for three days before resuming production.
Conventional cleaning method: Open the injection water inlet valve, each water valve, and injection water return sampling point valve, close the main return valve, and rinse each storage tank and delivery pipeline with newly made qualified injection water until the acidity, conductivity, and chlorine compounds at each sampling point meet the requirements of injection water.
Great Purge Method:
1. Add about 200L of qualified injection water to the injection water storage tank, and slowly add 2000g of sodium hydroxide (analytical grade) into the stainless steel bucket. Open the outlet delivery valve and each return valve, close each water valve, injection water return sampling point valve, and cleaning ball valve, turn on the water pump, circulate for 5-10 minutes, and prepare a Na0H solution with a content of about 1%.
2. Open the cleaning ball valve and recycle the entire system for 20-30 minutes for cleaning.
3. Stop the water pump, open the drain valve, discharge the alkali solution, and then close the drain valve.
4. Open the injection water inlet valve, each water valve, and injection water return sampling point valve, close the main return valve, and flush the storage tank and water pipeline with newly made qualified injection water until the pH, conductivity, and chloride at each sampling point meet the requirements for injection water.
Disinfection of injection water storage tanks and water pipelines: pure steam disinfection.
1. Close the injection water inlet valve, open the drain valve, and drain the remaining injection water from the tank.
2. Open the water delivery valves, departmental water valves, return valves, injection water return sampling point valves, slightly open the tank drain valve, close the breathing gas valve, open the pure steam valve, and pass pure steam.
3. Maintain steam pressure between 0.1~0.3 MPa and disinfect storage tanks and pipelines with pure steam for at least 30 minutes.
4. After disinfection, close the pure steam valve.
5. Close the drain valve, open the injection water inlet valve, and use newly made qualified injection water to cycle and flush the storage tank and delivery pipeline until the pH, conductivity, and chloride at each sampling point meet the requirements for injection water. Then, it can be put into use.
