Comprehensive analysis of reverse osmosis purification equipment
1、 Core principle
Reverse osmosis (RO) technology is based on the selective permeation characteristics of semi permeable membranes. It drives water molecules through the membrane layer under high pressure, intercepting impurities such as inorganic ions, organic matter, and bacteria, and achieving water purification. This technology can remove over 99% of dissolved salts and 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, producing water with a purity of over 5 megaohms.
2、 System composition
1. Preprocessing system
Quartz sand filter: removes particles such as sediment and rust (>20 μ m).
Activated carbon filter: adsorbs residual chlorine, organic matter, and odors.
Softening water device: Replace calcium and magnesium ions to prevent scaling of the RO membrane.
2. Reverse osmosis host
High pressure pump: Provides 0.25-1.2MPa pressure to drive infiltration.
RO membrane module: with a pore size of only 0.0001 μ m, it separates water and impurities.
Intelligent control system: Automatically adjust pressure, flow rate, and cleaning cycle.
3. Post processing system
UV disinfection: inactivate residual microorganisms.
Water storage tank: made of PE or stainless steel material to ensure stable water supply.
3、 Process flow
• Raw water buffering: Balance water volume and pressure through the raw water tank.
• Multi stage pretreatment: quartz sand → activated carbon → softening → precision filtration (5 μ m).
High pressure permeation: RO membrane separates pure water and concentrated water, with a recovery rate of up to 50% -75%.
• Water quality improvement: further purification through ion exchange or electrodeionization (EDI).
4、 Application Fields
Pharmaceutical industry: injection water and cleaning water that meet GMP standards.
Electronic industry: Ultra pure water (resistivity ≥ 18M Ω· cm) is required for chip manufacturing.
Food and beverage: Purification of bottled water and dairy processing water.
• Desalination of seawater: Reduce salt content to drinking water standards through a multi-stage RO system.
5、 Performance advantages
Efficient purification: Single stage desalination rate>97%, two-stage can reach 99%.
Low energy consumption: The energy consumption is only 1/40 of the distillation method, and the operating cost is low.
• Stable and reliable: Fully automatic operation, real-time monitoring and alarm of water quality.
Environmentally friendly and pollution-free: No need for chemical agents, reducing the risk of secondary pollution.
