Precautions for using a vertical slicer
Date: 2025-08-05Read: 28
The following are the precautions for using a vertical slicer, focusing on safe operation, equipment maintenance, and emergency response points:
1、 Preparation before operation
1. Equipment inspection
Confirm that the power grounding is reliable, the emergency stop button function is normal, and the blade protective cover is not loose or missing (in compliance with the safety standard GB 4706.38).
Test no-load operation: After starting, observe whether the cutterhead rotates smoothly and whether there are any abnormal noises or vibrations.
2. Material pretreatment
The materials to be cut need to be pre cooled and hardened (meat should be frozen to -4 ℃~-2 ℃, root vegetables should be refrigerated) to prevent them from becoming soft, rotten, and sticking to the knife.
Remove hard objects (bones, stones, metals) from the material to avoid blade cracking.
2、 Standardized operation
1. Key points for safe operation
Protective equipment: Cutting resistant gloves and goggles must be worn, and pushing or touching blades with bare hands is strictly prohibited.
Feeding technique: Use the matching pusher to push vertically and uniformly, and prohibit lateral pressure or forced insertion (to prevent material splashing).
2. Parameter control
Adjust the slice thickness according to the material characteristics (such as 2-3mm for pork and 1mm for potatoes), and calibrate the first cut by trial cutting.
Continuous operation ≤ 30 minutes/time, if the blade temperature exceeds 60 ℃, it needs to be stopped for cooling (overheating causes material adhesion).
3、 Risk emergency response
1. Card processing:
Immediately cut off the power supply, use a dedicated material return rod to rotate the material in the opposite direction, and prohibit using tools to remove it while the power is on.
2. Blade abnormality:
If the incision is rough or the material is torn, immediately stop inspecting the blade edge (if the gap is greater than 0.5mm, it needs to be replaced).
4、 Cleaning and maintenance
1. Daily cleaning
Remove the blade assembly after power failure, use a soft brush to remove residue, and wipe the blade with 75% alcohol for disinfection (avoid rinsing the motor with water).
Wipe the conveyor belt clean with a damp cloth to ensure there is no grease residue (anti slip).
2. Regular maintenance
Lubricate the track bearings (food grade lubricant) weekly and check the belt tension (downward displacement<3mm) monthly.
The blade must be professionally sharpened (with a blade angle of 20 °± 1 °) every 200 hours of cutting or when curling occurs.
5、 Prohibited Behavior List
1. Overloaded cutting of materials with excessive hardness (such as frozen meat chunks>-10 ℃, uncooked hard medicinal roots)
2. Remove the protective cover to operate or modify the speed control device
3. Wet handed operation of switches or live cleaning equipment
Key reminder: The work area should be kept dry and ventilated, and any splashing on the ground should be cleaned immediately (to prevent slipping or electric shock). When the equipment vibrates abnormally, follow the three-step principle of 'power off → investigate the cause → report for repair'.
