Maintenance methods for horizontal fuel steam boilers

1、 Water quality management and scale prevention
1. Soft water treatment
A softening water device needs to be configured to ensure that the total hardness of the inlet water is ≤ 0.03mmol/L, and an inlet water temperature above 20 ℃ can reduce thermal stress shock.
2. Pollution discharge strategy
Perform monthly water replacement for the entire furnace and use mechanical tools to remove sediment from the inner walls; During continuous operation, perform 2-3 bottom drains per week to discharge electrolyte concentrate.
2、 Combustion system maintenance
1. Filter cleaning
The light oil filter is cleaned with solvent every month, and the heavy oil filter is disassembled and soaked every quarter to avoid damage to the filter column.
2. Nebulizer management
Check the fuel injector atomizer blades daily, wipe off carbon deposits with a soft cloth, and replace components if the atomization angle deviates by more than 15 °.
3. Heater maintenance
Disassemble the fuel heater every quarter, soak it in acidic solution to remove carbon deposits on the pipe wall, and simultaneously check the sealing of the drain pipe.
3、 Maintenance of safety devices
1. Pressure control
The safety valve undergoes monthly manual exhaust testing, and the pressure gauge bend is flushed daily to ensure accuracy deviation is less than ± 2.5%.
2. Water level monitoring
The dual color water level gauge is rinsed twice a day, the low water level cut-off device is tested for sensitivity every month, and the electrode rod is cleaned every six months.
4、 Maintenance of structural components
1. Sealing inspection
The flange gasket should be checked for compression every month (preferably 1.5-2mm), and the asbestos gasket for the combustion chamber observation hole should be replaced every year.
2. Smoke pipe cleaning
During the shutdown period, use a wire brush to clean the accumulated dust in the smoke pipe, apply rust proof grease after completion, and maintain a negative pressure environment for the induced draft fan during operation.
5、 Operating standards
1. Operation monitoring
Record steam pressure (allowable ± 0.05MPa fluctuation), exhaust temperature (recommended ≤ 200 ℃), and combustion flame shape every hour.
2. Anti static measures
The grounding resistance of the oil pipeline is less than 5 Ω, the unloading flow rate is controlled below 1m/s, and a copper braided strip is connected across the flange.
Maintenance must comply with the "Boiler Safety Technical Regulations" TSG 11-2025, and records should include the operator, maintenance content, and spare parts list, with a retention period of ≥ 3 inspection cycles.
