The maintenance of rotary tablet press should follow the following points to ensure efficient and stable operation of the equipment:
1、 Daily cleaning and shutdown maintenance
1. Cleaning after use: After each operation or shutdown, thoroughly remove residual powder and wipe all parts of the machine. If it is not used for a long time, the die should be disassembled and cleaned. All smooth parts should be coated with anti rust oil and covered with dust-proof cloth for storage.
2. Mold maintenance: The molds need to be stored in a covered iron box, completely immersed in oil to prevent rust and damage. It is recommended to store them in separate boxes according to specifications for easy management.
3. Environmental control: The working environment needs to be kept clean, especially in the pharmaceutical and food industries where dust must be strictly controlled to avoid contaminating tablets.
2、 Regular inspection and lubrication
1. Monthly inspection: Conduct 1-2 comprehensive inspections per month, focusing on observing the flexibility and wear of moving parts such as worm gears, worm gears, bearings, pressure wheels, crankshafts, and tracks. If any abnormalities are found, repair them immediately.
2. Lubrication management:
Lubricate the friction surface before work to ensure the formation of an oil film during idle operation; Supplement lubricating oil on time for each shift to avoid excessive spillage.
Add lubricating grease to the manual pump once a day and regularly check the oil level of the reducer (change oil after 400-500 hours).
Timely replenish oil when lubrication is insufficient to prevent equipment damage caused by oil shortage and idling.
3、 Mechanical and electrical system maintenance
1. Tightening components: Check key screws (such as upper/lower punch fixing nuts, connecting rod locking parts, etc.) before work, and tighten them immediately if they are found loose during operation.
2. Punch protection: Pay attention to the upper and lower punch fault alarm devices (such as over tightening of the punch, failure to install the stopper, etc.), and stop the machine in a timely manner when abnormal.
3. Electrical maintenance:
Regularly check the status of electrical components, and use compressed air to remove dust from the cooling fan.
Control the temperature and humidity of the environment to extend the lifespan of components, and the maintenance of frequency converters requires professional personnel to operate.
Before insulation testing, the control wire of the frequency converter must be disassembled to prevent high-voltage damage.
4、 Operating standards and safety protection
1. Trial operation: Manually test a few tablets before the shift, confirm that they are normal, and then start the equipment.
2. Mold inspection: Regularly check the status of the stamping die during the pressing process, and replace it immediately if any missing edges, cracks, or deformations are found.
3. Overload protection: The pressure gauge value must not exceed the limit (usually ≤ 8KN). If the 'overload protection' alarm is triggered, the machine must be shut down for maintenance.
Key tip: Maintenance should strictly distinguish between mechanical and electrical operations. Lubrication and cleaning are routine operations, while complex tasks such as frequency converter maintenance should be handled by professionals.
