Working principle and core characteristics of laboratory pure water machine
Date: 2025-05-29Read: 6
The laboratory pure water machine combines physical separation and chemical purification technology to achieve the full process preparation from tap water to ultrapure water; Its intelligent, modular design and high water quality stability make it the core equipment of modern laboratories. Today, the editor will take you to understand the working principle and core features of laboratory pure water machines.
1、 Working principle
1. Preprocessing stage
The water source passes through a coarse filter/activated carbon filter element in sequence to remove large particle impurities, suspended solids, chlorine, and organic matter, improve water quality and taste, and protect subsequent equipment.
2. Reverse osmosis (RO) treatment
Under pressure, water molecules pass through a semi permeable membrane (with a pore size of approximately 0.0001 micrometers) to trap over 95% of ionic impurities (such as salts, heavy metals), bacteria, and viruses, resulting in water purity that meets the national third level water standard. The concentrated solution after reverse osmosis is discharged as wastewater, and the utilization rate of raw water can reach 60% -80%.
3. Deep purification
Ion exchange resin columns remove residual trace ions and improve water quality to first-class or ultrapure water standards (resistivity ≥ 15M Ω· cm);
Selective addition of UV sterilization, ultrafiltration and other technologies to further remove microorganisms, heat sources and particles.
4. Water storage and supply
The purified water is stored in a pressure water tank (capacity 15-200L), and is quantitatively extracted through an intelligent control system (10ml-200L, accuracy ± 2ml) and transported to various water points in the laboratory.
2、 Core Features
1. Efficient purification capability
Integrated multi-stage purification unit (pretreatment+RO+ion exchange+terminal filtration), with a maximum water resistivity of up to 18.2M Ω· cm, meeting high-purity experimental requirements such as trace analysis.
2. Modular intelligent design
Consumables adopt a plug and play mode to simplify maintenance processes;
Real time display of water quality parameters (conductivity, TOC, etc.) on the true color touch screen, supporting data storage and trend analysis.
3. Precise control and environmental friendliness
Support multilingual operation interface and remote monitoring, suitable for multi-user collaboration scenarios;
Reverse osmosis technology reduces wastewater discharge, with some models achieving a raw water utilization rate of 80%.
4. Diversified effluent configuration
It can simultaneously produce RO pure water (conductivity ≤ source water × 2%) and ultrapure water (resistivity ≤ 18.2M Ω· cm) to meet different experimental needs.
5. Parameter standardization
The typical model size is 515 × 320 × 480mm (desktop type), with a water production capacity of 10-300L/h, compatible with 220V/50Hz power supply, and a power of 30-150W.
