Emulsification tank - supplied nationwide in Hangzhou/Wenzhou/Ningbo, etc
Date: 2025-06-16Read: 5
Emulsification tank is a core equipment used for emulsification processes in industries such as food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics. Its main function is to evenly distribute a liquid (dispersed phase) in extremely small particle states into another immiscible liquid (continuous phase), thereby forming a stable, non layered emulsion.
Structurally, an emulsion tank usually consists of a tank body, a stirring device, a heating and cooling system, and related control components. The tank body is generally made of high-quality metal materials, with good strength and sealing to ensure that the substance will not leak during the emulsification process, and can also withstand certain pressure and temperature changes. The internal stirring device is one of the core components of the emulsification process. Through different forms and speeds of rotation, two originally immiscible liquids can be fully mixed in the tank and form a uniform emulsion.
There are various designs for mixing devices, some of which use paddle mixing. This mixing method can provide a relatively stable and large-area mixing effect, and is suitable for materials that do not require particularly strict emulsification accuracy but require a large amount of processing. Some use high-speed homogenizer emulsifiers, which generate strong shear forces when they rotate at high speed, continuously refining and dispersing particles in the liquid, making the emulsion particles finer and more uniform. This is crucial for the production of products that require high emulsification quality, such as high-end cosmetics and fine chemical products.
Heating and cooling systems are equally important. During the emulsification process, temperature control directly affects the effectiveness and efficiency of emulsification. When heating is required, the material can be heated to the appropriate temperature through the interlayer of the tank or the built-in heating element, which promotes the molecular motion of the liquid, reduces viscosity, and is more conducive to emulsification. The cooling system can timely cool down the material after emulsification is completed or when the temperature is too high and may affect product quality, ensuring the stability and performance of the emulsion.
In practical applications, it has a wide range of uses. In the food industry, it is used to produce various condiments, dairy products, beverages, and other products. For example, when making salad dressing, ingredients such as oil, vinegar, and eggs are put into the equipment, and through the action of a stirring device, the two immiscible liquids of oil and vinegar are cleverly blended together to form a delicate, uniform, and stable salad dressing. In the pharmaceutical field, many drugs need to be made into emulsions through emulsification processes in order to be better absorbed by the human body or to improve drug stability. Like some fish liver oil preparations, they use it to emulsify fish liver oil with other ingredients such as water into an emulsion form that is easy to consume and absorb.
Main features and advantages:
1. Efficient homogenization: high-speed shearing can quickly obtain lotion with fine particles and uniform distribution.
2. Good stability: The products produced have a long shelf life and are not easily stratified or precipitated.
3. Health and safety: Made of stainless steel material, it meets hygiene standards such as GMP/HACCP and is easy to clean and disinfect.
4. Function integration: integrates multiple functions such as mixing, dispersion, homogenization, heating, cooling, vacuum defoaming, etc.
5. High degree of automation: It can accurately control the entire production process, ensuring consistency and repeatability of product quality.
Main application areas:
1. Cosmetics industry: production of cream, lotion, lipstick, shampoo, shower gel, etc.
2. Food industry: producing yogurt, ice cream, juice, sauces, seasonings, dairy products, etc.
3. Pharmaceutical industry: manufacturing ointments, emulsions, ointments, suppositories, etc.
4. Chemical industry: producing coatings, paints, inks, lubricants, pesticide emulsions, etc.
When choosing an emulsion tank, the following factors need to be considered:
1. Material characteristics: viscosity, composition, sensitivity to shear force, etc. of the material.
2. Production scale: Select the tank capacity based on the production demand of each batch.
3. Process requirements: required final particle size, whether heating/cooling/vacuum functions are needed, etc.
4. Hygiene level: Select appropriate materials and smoothness according to industry requirements.
5. Automation level: Choose manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic control based on budget and process complexity.
