A centrifuge is a device that uses centrifugal force to separate components from a mixture. Among numerous centrifuges, the horizontal spiral centrifuge is a commonly used centrifuge model. It is mainly used for separating solid-liquid two-phase or liquid-liquid two-phase substances in suspension.
The horizontal spiral centrifuge is mainly composed of several parts: centrifuge body, rotating tank body, motor, reducer, centrifugal flywheel, protective cover, and control system. The horizontal spiral centrifuge is mainly composed of the centrifuge body, centrifugal screw, discharge port, feed port, filter screen, and bracket.

The horizontal screw centrifuge mainly separates and screens materials through process conditions such as speed, centrifugal force, and screen accuracy.
1. Spiral category
There are various types of horizontal spiral centrifuges, including fixed and adjustable ones. Among them, the fixed type spiral is not adjustable, while the adjustable type has the advantages of precision adjustment and strong adaptability. Different types of spirals are suitable for separating different materials.
2. Incoming and outgoing materials
There are three main feeding methods for a horizontal screw centrifuge, namely pressure feeding, gravity feeding, and center feeding, among which pressure feeding is widely used.
There are mainly two types of discharge ports for a horizontal centrifuge, namely longitudinal discharge and transverse discharge. Vertical discharge is mainly suitable for materials with small quantities and high moisture content; The discharge method is suitable for materials with large quantities and low moisture content.
3. Rotational speed and centrifugal force
In a decanter centrifuge, rotational speed and centrifugal force are the two factors that have the greatest impact on material separation. The rotational speed refers to the number of revolutions per minute of the centrifuge spindle, which is an important factor in separation efficiency. And centrifugal force refers to the force generated during the centrifugal separation of materials, which is the decisive factor in the separation effect. The greater the centrifugal force, the better the separation effect of the material.
4. Mesh accuracy
The horizontal screw centrifuge adopts the method of screen separation, and the accuracy of the screen determines the precision of material separation. The higher the screen accuracy, the higher the purity of the product. However, excessive screen accuracy can lead to problems such as reduced equipment operating efficiency and increased production costs.
