Automatic external defibrillators, also known as automatic external defibrillators, automatic defibrillators, cardiac defibrillators, and foolproof defibrillators, are portable medical devices that can diagnose specific arrhythmias and provide defibrillation. They are medical devices that can be used by non professionals to rescue patients with cardiac arrest. In the event of sudden cardiac arrest, the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) for defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation during the "golden 4 minutes" of the Zuijia rescue time is an effective way to prevent sudden death.

Automatic external defibrillator is a portable, easy to operate, and proficient emergency equipment designed specifically for on-site first aid. In a sense, AED is not only an emergency equipment, but also a new concept of first aid, a concept of effective first aid by eyewitnesses on site. It differs from traditional defibrillators in that it can be analyzed and determined by a built-in computer whether the patient needs defibrillation. During the defibrillation process, the AED's voice prompts and screen animation operation prompts make the operation easier and more convenient. For most people, automatic external defibrillators can be operated with just a few hours of training. The American Heart Association (AHA) believes that learning to use AEDs is simpler than learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Usage of Automatic External Defibrillator:

Unlike professional defibrillators in hospitals, automatic external defibrillators only require short-term teaching to be used. The machine itself will automatically read the electrocardiogram and decide whether electric shock is needed. The fully automatic model even requires the rescuer to apply an electric shock patch to the patient, and then it can judge and generate an electric shock on its own. The semi-automatic model will remind the rescuer to press the electric shock button. In most cases, even if the rescuer accidentally presses the electric shock button, the machine will not deliver an electric shock. Some models can be used on children (less than 25 kilograms or less than 8 years old), but generally require the use of electrode patches specifically designed for children. The American College of Cardiology recommends that adult patches can still be used as a replacement even if there are no child specific patches available; There is no evidence to suggest that adult patch electrodes cause more severe damage.
