Trace nitrogen analyzerIt is designed specifically for continuous analysis of N2/Ar and N2/He, and its N2 detector is derived from our successful HFADD high-frequency argon discharge detector. The instrument utilizes selectivity for nitrogen molecules to detect trace nitrogen in argon or helium gas.

Trace nitrogen analyzerWorking principle:

When high-purity argon gas, as a carrier gas, flows through a quartz tube in a high-frequency oscillating electromagnetic field at a certain flow rate, a high voltage of 1500V is applied outside the tube, causing argon atoms inside the quartz tube to move under a high-frequency electromagnetic field oscillation of 100 MHz. Due to the ionization energy of argon atoms being lower than the average free path energy after oscillation, argon atoms are ionized inside the tube to form a mixed gas of ions, electrons, and neutral particles - plasma, and argon atoms are excited and discharged to produce arc light. When the measured gas enters the detector after passing through the separation column, molecules such as N2, H2, CH4 of * gas impurities absorb and extinguish the arc light, while O2 and CO molecules are excited to produce enhanced arc light. The intensity change of the generated light is proportional to the concentration of the measured component, so it can be used for quantitative analysis of impurities. This type of detector is called a high-frequency argon discharge detector. The ADD high-frequency argon discharge detector can analyze impurities in 99.9999% grade high-purity argon, so the nitrogen content in argon can be analyzed up to 10 ppb.
