The emergency shut-off valve for ammonia uses a gas source (compressed air, nitrogen) and an electromagnetic valve to control the opening and closing of the valve. It consists of a multi spring pneumatic diaphragm actuator or a floating piston actuator and a regulating valve, which receives signals from the regulating instrument and controls the cutting, connection, or switching of fluids in the process pipeline. In emergency situations, the control room can trigger the solenoid valve switch or manually release the pressure of the gas source, or when the high temperature is ≥ 80C, the melting alloy will melt and the cylinder will automatically release the pressure. The cut-off valve will quickly close within ≤ 3 seconds to prevent leakage, providing safety protection.

matters needing attention;
1. The opening pressure of the emergency shut-off valve cylinder for ammonia should be ≥ 0.3-0.6Mpa, and the daily working pressure of the cylinder should not be lower than 0.4MPa to ensure the normal operation of the valve.
2. Normally closed shut-off valves should not be opened for a long time to avoid spring fatigue failure.
