Efficient Wet Mixing GranulatorIt is a new formulation process adopted by China's pharmaceutical industry in the 1980s. This machine not only integrates mixing and granulation, but also has the prominent advantage of fast operation.

Compared with traditional granulation processes, the advantages of the hybrid granulator are as follows:

(1) The amount of adhesive required for granulation is small, resulting in a short drying time.

(2) It can be pelletized according to the existing formula without changing any process.

(3) The granulation time for each batch is only 7-10 minutes.

(4) Grain boundary cleaning, approximately spherical, uniform, with small particle size and low density, resulting in good flowability during compression, easy filling of the mold cavity, low pressure, stable tablet weight, and reduced labor intensity.

(5) The particles are small, and the grain boundaries are not damaged during stamping, making them easy to dissolve and diffuse.

(6) The surface of the film is smooth and fine.

(7) The particles produced are looser than those obtained by extrusion, but denser than those obtained by boiling granulation.

Mixed granulation is an ideal equipment that was vigorously promoted and applied during the Eighth Five Year Plan period to meet GMP standards. It is almost on par with boiling granulators and has been highly praised in industries such as pharmaceuticals.

The JTGHL high-speed mixer designed and produced by our factory is the result of modifications made on the basis of introducing similar products. It has the advantages of easy operation and streamlined process, with granulation of 16-80 mesh, and the entire granulation process can be completed in just a few minutes. The adhesives used abroad belong to resin based organic solvents, while most of the pharmaceutical industry in China uses starch adhesives. We have successively pelletized and compressed 10 price drugs including four types of sulfonamides, vitamins, antibiotics, and compound drugs. We used various proportions of starch and different concentrations of organic solvents such as 10%, 13%, 15%, and 18% as adhesives for experiments, and the resulting granules have excellent performance and meet the quality standards.

Several formulas are added to the working container in one go, and after stirring and mixing, adhesive is injected. Alternatively, one formula and adhesive are added to the working container in one go, mixed by a stirring blade to make soft materials, which are then crushed into granules by a cutting cutter.

The driving force of the cutter is a dual speed motor, which controls the solubility of the adhesive, the speed of the cutter, and the crushing time to obtain particles of different sizes, ensuring that the quality of the produced drugs reaches a high level of repeatability in terms of particle size distribution, density, flowability, etc. between batches. The equipment is automatically produced according to the same program to ensure the granulation quality of the product.
