MICRODRILL SAMPLING specializes in micro sampling of rocks and minerals such as carbonate rocks, quartz, and zircon containing hydrocarbon inclusions, as well as solid and powder micro sampling of biological shells; MICRODRILL SAMPLING can be combined with cathodoluminescence analyzer for easy sampling and analysis of different minerals.
The system features precise 3D positioning and movement, vacuum adsorption function, and a magnification range of 5X to 160X; The operation process can be automatically performed using a controller or manually operated; The digital imaging system can output images to a computer for storage and display the sampling process on a monitor.
Basic principle of cathodoluminescence assisted micro sampling
When used in conjunction with a cathodoluminescence analyzer, it mainly uses an image mixer to reposition the sample sampling position. It can input both the images observed by the stereomicroscope and the saved cathodoluminescence images into the image mixing console. The image mixing console will generate a superimposed output image on the video monitor to complete the sample repositioning, sampling, and collection
