Core working principle

  1. Power supply: Compressed air/nitrogen is dried and filtered, and then forms a 2-3 Mach supersonic jet through a Laval nozzle. The airflow expands to produce the Joule Thomson effect, achieving a low-temperature environment.

  2. Crushing process: The material is carried by the airflow and collides, rubs, and shears with each other at the intersection of multiple nozzles in the crushing chamber, completing a "self grinding" crushing process without mechanical contact pollution.

  3. Graded collection: Equipped with a built-in turbine classifier (speed 3000-15000 r/min) for precise screening, qualified fine powder (usually D97=2-75 μ m) is collected by a cyclone separator and pulse dust collector, and coarse particles are returned to the crushing area for cyclic processing.

  4. Inert protection: Optional inert gas closed-loop circulation to prevent probiotics from oxidizing, suitable for materials containing easily oxidizable components.

Key points of operation and maintenance

  1. Pre treatment: The moisture content of the material should be ≤ 3% to avoid sticking to the cavity; Pre cool the airflow to 5-10 ℃ to enhance the protective effect.

  2. Parameter optimization: Adjust particle size through intake pressure (0.6-1.2 MPa) and grading wheel speed; Priority should be given to selecting nitrogen protection mode for live bacterial materials.

  3. Cleaning validation: CIP cleaning after each batch, regular SIP sterilization, record keeping, in compliance with food/pharmaceutical compliance requirements.

  4. Equipment maintenance: Regularly check nozzle wear and grading wheel dynamic balance to ensure crushing efficiency and particle size stability.

Characteristics of Airflow Crusher:

1. Not heating up, as the material is crushed under gas expansion, the temperature of the crushing chamber is controlled at room temperature, and the temperature will not increase.

2. No pollution, because the material collides and crushes itself under the influence of airflow, without being carried into the medium, so there will be no pollution during the material crushing process.

3. Low wear and tear, as the main crushing effect is particle impact and collision, high-speed particles rarely collide with walls, making it suitable for crushing materials with a Mohs hardness of nine or above.

4. Low energy consumption, saving 30% to 40% energy compared to other types of airflow crushing.

5. Inert gas can be used as a medium for crushing flammable and explosive materials.

6. The use of Xian's touch screen and programmable logic controller (PLC) enables automated control.
