Probe application:
Probe measurement is a widely recognized ideal method for maximizing the efficiency, quality, capability, and accuracy of machine tools. The standard program is built into modern CNC controllers, simplifying the measurement cycle of the probe and the integration process of machining operations and offline tools. These programs, when combined with CAD interfaces, can easily simulate measurement functions. For many industries that use machine tools, Renishaw probes can significantly reduce costs and improve quality in all applications.



The following are the material characteristics of the measuring needle:

1. Tungsten carbide measuring rods have excellent rigidity, especially suitable for measuring needles with smaller measuring balls and rod diameters.

2. Ruby is widely recognized as the industry standard material for measuring needles, and it is currently one of the hard materials available, suitable for most applications.

Due to adhesive wear, it is not recommended to use ruby measuring needles when scanning aluminum workpieces.

3. Stainless steel measuring rods have excellent rigidity and are very suitable for applications that do not require very high weight.

4. The ceramic measuring rod is lightweight but highly rigid, and has excellent collision protection characteristics.

The weight of the carbon fiber measuring rod is very light, making it very suitable for applications with strict weight requirements.

5. In terms of physical properties, silicon nitride is very similar to ruby, and its lower friction coefficient makes it very suitable for most scanning applications, especially when scanning aluminum workpieces
