Introduction to Reverse Osmosis Purification Equipment

This manual is intended to assist users in correctly installing and using this device, in order to achieve optimal performance and longer lifespan. Therefore, users are advised to carefully read this manual before installing and using this device.

This manual is applicable to the reverse osmosis system produced by our company. The design capability of the equipment is expressed in the equipment specifications (see Figure 1). The production capacity of each device is measured at a raw water temperature of 250C. If the actual operating temperature of the raw water is higher or lower than this temperature, its production capacity will have a certain degree of change. Of course, changes in other conditions of the raw water will have an impact on the quality and quality of the product, which will be explained in the relevant chapters and functional introductions later.

The reverse osmosis process uses a semi permeable spiral wound membrane to separate and remove soluble solids, organic matter, colloidal substances, and bacteria from water. The raw water is sent under a certain pressure and passes through a reverse osmosis membrane. The water passes through the small pores on the membrane and is collected to obtain pure water. Impurities in the water are concentrated and discharged in the intercepting liquid. RO can remove over 96% of dissolved solids, over 99% of organic matter and colloids, and almost 100% of bacteria from raw water.

RO equipment is currently one of the devices used in water treatment equipment worldwide to produce pure water. It has low operating costs, is economical, easy to operate, and reliable, making it the preferred pure water equipment for businesses.

RO inlet conditions

It is very important to check whether your raw water is within the limits when operating this RO host under the following water inlet conditions. If the RO inlet conditions do not meet this standard, it will result in irreversible contamination and damage to the membrane components. Therefore, contamination and damage caused by various situations are not covered by the system's warranty.

Zui Original Water Pressure: ≤ 225PSI (1.5Mpa)

Zui water supply flow rate (see main technical data sheet):

Water temperature: 5 ℃ -35 ℃

PH range: 4-9 out

Hardness: 17mg/L (calculated as CaCO3)

浊度: SDI<5

Organic matter:<1mg/L

Total dissolved solids content: TDS < 1000mg/L

And the raw water must meet the following requirements:

Iron:<0.1mg/L

Free chlorine: not detectable

锰: <0.05mg/L

hard water

The hardness of the raw water must be below 17mg/L. To meet certain requirements, it is recommended to install a suitable softener or scale inhibitor dosing device before the reverse osmosis system. The damage to the reverse osmosis membrane caused by scaling due to excessive hardness of the raw water is not covered by the warranty.

Raw water temperature and water production rate

The rated water production of the equipment is measured at a raw water temperature of 250C. The water production of reverse osmosis system varies with the change of raw water temperature. In general, for every 1 ℃ change in water temperature, the water production will decrease or increase by 2%, and the desalination rate will also change accordingly.

Tap water source

Tap water is chlorinated for disinfection, so an activated carbon filter must be installed before RO to remove residual chlorine from the water. The reverse osmosis membrane on our company's RO system is an aromatic polyamide composite membrane. If there is free chlorine in the raw water, the membrane will suffer irreparable damage. Damage to the membrane caused by chlorine in the raw water is not covered by the warranty.

Iron in raw water

Once the iron content in the raw water exceeds 0.1mg/L, you need to add a filter for removing iron. You can consult relevant experts for related questions, and we can also provide you with relevant information.
