Overview
The HZG rotary kiln drum dryer is a cylindrical body with a slightly inclined main body and adjustable speed within a certain range. Wet materials are fed into the cylinder by the feeder, and under the flipping of the evenly distributed plate reader in the inner cylinder, the materials are evenly distributed and dispersed in the dryer and fully contact with the hot air (parallel or reverse) passing through the cylinder.

It mainly consists of a heat source, a feeding machine, a feeding machine, a rotary drum, a discharging machine, a induced draft fan, a unloader, and a distribution cabinet; After dehydration, the wet material is fed into one end of the dryer and is evenly distributed and dispersed inside the dryer under the flipping of the inner cylinder's evenly distributed plate reader. It fully contacts with the hot air flowing in parallel (counter current), accelerating the drying heat transfer and mass transfer driving force. During the drying process, the material can be controlled to move to the star shaped discharge valve in another section of the dryer to discharge the finished product under the action of the inclined plate and hot air flow.
Although this dryer is generally similar, it has a variety of dryer models and series. The main series of drying equipment produced by different domestic enterprises may also vary. We mainly explain the HZG rotary dryer here.
This dryer has a large processing capacity, easy operation, and good drying effect. The dried material comes into direct contact with hot air and is dried through convective heat transfer. According to the flow direction between hot air and materials, it can be divided into parallel flow and counter flow types. In the parallel flow system, the hot air moves in the same direction as the material, and the hot air with a higher inlet temperature comes into contact with the material with a higher moisture content. Due to the material being in the surface vaporization stage, the product temperature remains roughly at wet bulb temperature.
Although the temperature of the material on the outlet side of the dryer is increasing, the temperature of the hot air has already decreased, so the temperature rise of the product will not be too significant. Therefore, choosing a higher hot air inlet temperature will not affect the quality of the product. This is suitable for drying heat sensitive materials, including those containing volatile components, such as ammonium salts in the fertilizer industry. But for the drying of ammonium salts, the material temperature should be lower than 90 ℃ to avoid overheating
Burning alive.
In addition, for materials with high adhesion, using parallel flow drying is also very advantageous. In counterflow, the direction of hot air flow is opposite to the direction of material movement. For high temperature resistant materials, countercurrent drying is used for high heat utilization efficiency. The air outlet temperature of the dryer should generally be about 10-20 ℃ higher than the material outlet temperature in parallel flow. There is no clear regulation on the air outlet temperature in the counterflow type, but it is reasonable to use 100 ℃ as the outlet temperature in the design.
The diameter of the cylinder of a conventional direct heating dryer is generally 0.4-3m, and the ratio of cylinder length to cylinder diameter is generally 4-10. The circumferential velocity of the dryer is 0.4-0.6m/s, and the air velocity is in the range of 1.5-2.5m/s. [1]
