TAYLOR HOBSONThe Surtronic S-128 is a highly durable roughness gauge suitable for use in workshops, industries, and inspection roomsWe have close cooperative relationships with manufacturers in industries such as precision bearings, automotive, and aerospace engineering in the UKTaylor Hobson is dedicated to developing quality control skills that are crucial in today's precision professions.A sturdy, fast, and reliable handheld roughness gaugeTypical application areas of Surtronic S-128:The Surtronic S-128 roughness meter is suitable for use in workshops, industries, and inspection rooms, and is a cost-effective solution for measuring surface roughness!

The perfect measurement solution
By selecting the bracket and printer of the Surtronic S-100 series (refer to "Accessories"), a fully integrated roughness measurement system can be obtained. It can measure different types of components, and the measurement results can be stored internally or on standard USB storage devices, as well as printed out for the next stage of production or provided to users.

Surtronic®S100series

Adopting a large display screen design, the menu structure is simple and can provide high-speed roughness measurement.

Powered by batteries, easy to carry around, and built-in storage function (supports storing up to 100 readings).
Special needle lifting function, very flexible operation
The swing length and sensor extension distance are relatively long
Comes with powerful PC software

Features

1. Any appearance, any height: The UK Taylor Surtronic S-128 roughness gauge specification includes a 50mm long measuring needle lifting device and right angle attachment, as well as a hole depth of up to 70mm, allowing for challenging measurement orientations to be checked without the need for expensive pad supports or fixtures. The anti slip V-shaped tripod design allows the system to be used on smooth or curved surfaces. The measuring needle can also be flipped upwards for measurement.
2. Professional standards and traceability: The standards provided by Taylor Hobson in the UK can be used to calibrate instruments and check needle wear to ensure that the Surtronic S-128 roughness meter can always obtain accurate measurement results.
3. UKAS calibration and testing: Taylor Hopson is able to perform full calibration and certification of finished products and instruments in a specially designed ISO grade UKAS cleanroom. Our UKAS laboratory can measure all parameters related to surface roughness, including other standard parameter types from France, Germany, the United States, and Japan.
4. Fast and reliable measurement: By quietly pressing the S? Urtronic S-128 roughness meter measurement button, a complete and traceable measurement result can be obtained within a few minutes, including a detailed summary curve chart that can be displayed on the screen or actively printed out. The printer is optional.
5. Specially planned and reinforced for use: The entire body of the Surtronic S-128 roughness tester is wrapped in plasticized rubber. The polyester film ensures the durability and usability of the touch screen, with wear-resistant gears and bearings inside, as well as a reinforced stainless steel drive structure. The system power supply is a high-capacity lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 3000mAh, which can perform up to 2000 measurements with just one charge.
6. On site measurement: Inspect the wear and roughness of the product on site to estimate its lifespan. For example, checking the changes in the surface roughness of turbine blades as a warning signal for early defects and efficiency loss.
7. User friendly user interface: The Surtronic S-128 roughness meter, like other navigators or smartphones, has a 4.3-inch industrial touch screen with strong readability. Up to 7 parameters, as well as measurement settings and system information, can be displayed on one page.

The application areas of Surtronic S-128 include but are not limited to:

Process control: grinding, turning, milling, honing, polishing, squeezing

Automobiles: gears, connecting rods, cylinder holes, cylinder bodies, crankshafts

Heavy industry: shipbuilding, oil pipelines, steel plates

Aerospace: Turbine blades, turbine shafts, wing composite materials

Other: Printing rollers, flooring, bonding
