Evaluation Results - Failure Attribute
Many national and international standards, including ISO4624 and ASTM D4541, require users to not only record the pulling force, but also to record the nature of fracture by inspecting the bottom of the forging die and evaluating adhesive force detachment/cohesive detachment. The 'Properties' function (menu/settings/instrument mode/advanced) in the' Advanced 'mode allows for the recording and storage of fracture properties for each reading

Check the forging die
a) Cohesive detachment: refers to the detachment of the coating from the interior of the coating layer, leaving some on the surface and some on the forging die surface
b) Adhesive detachment: refers to the failure of the interface between layers (between coatings), where one layer pulls away from the other layers. The "coating" on the forging die will not be the same as the test area.
c) Degumming: If there is no coating on the forging die, it must be recorded as "debonding".

This is usually due to incorrect or insufficient mixing of the adhesive components, incompatibility between the adhesive and the coating or forging die, and/or improper preparation of the test surface before testing
