Overview

To meet the specific application requirements of our customers, all the transducers of the ElG 456 are fully interchangeable and offer a wide range of designs and scales. Iron based probes measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic substrates. The Engel 456 iron-based instrument recognizes any iron-based probe. Non iron based probes are used to measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non iron based metal substrates, and any non iron based probe is recognized by the Engel 456 Non iron based Instrument. The dual-purpose FNF probe can be used for both iron-based and non-ferrous applications, and has the function of automatically identifying the substrate. The Engel 456 FNF instrument recognizes all iron-based, non-ferrous, and dual-purpose FNF probes.
