Working principle and structural characteristics

The JZJY type Roots vacuum pump liquid ring pump unit is composed of one or several Roots vacuum pumps connected in series with a two-stage liquid ring vacuum pump. The specific structure is shown in the figure below. The liquid ring pump is called the front stage pump, the Roots vacuum pump directly connected to the pumped system is called the main pump, and the Roots vacuum pump connected to the front stage pump and the main pump is called the intermediate pump (JZJY type two-stage unit does not have an intermediate pump).

Due to the fact that ordinary Roots vacuum pumps must be started at a certain allowable inlet pressure (a certain degree of vacuum), a pre pump must be equipped at the outlet of the Roots vacuum pump for pre pumping. If the Roots vacuum pump is started too early, it may cause overload or even damage the motor or damage the Roots vacuum pump, so the starting pressure of the Roots vacuum pump must be strictly controlled.

Due to the fact that Roots vacuum pumps cannot be used alone, a front-end vacuum pump that meets the requirements for Roots vacuum pump use must be configured to form a complete unit type. The JZJY type Roots liquid ring pump vacuum unit, due to the use of a liquid ring vacuum pump as the front stage pump, is particularly suitable for suctioning gases with high humidity and industrial processes containing a large amount of water vapor and gases with certain corrosiveness and condensability. And because the liquid ring vacuum pump is suitable for long-term operation in the vacuum pressure range of atmospheric to several thousand pascals, the Roots liquid ring vacuum unit can be suitable for: vacuum distillation, vacuum evaporation, dehydration crystallization, and polymerization reactions of chemical products; The three major processes of polyester chip drying in the textile industry, drying of leather products, freeze-drying in the food industry, and vacuum impregnation and drying in the power industry.

The ultimate vacuum of a Roots pump depends not only on the structure and manufacturing accuracy of the pump itself, but also on the ultimate vacuum of the preceding pump. To improve the ultimate vacuum degree of the pump, Roots pumps can be used in series. The working principle of Roots pump is similar to that of Roots blower. Due to the continuous rotation of the rotor, the extracted gas is drawn into the space v0 between the rotor and the pump casing through the intake port, and then discharged through the exhaust port. Due to the fully enclosed state of the v0 space after inhalation, there is no compression or expansion of gas in the pump chamber.
