• Introduction

Vacuum Insulation Panel (VIP Panel) is an abbreviation for Vacuum Insulation Panel in English. It is a type of vacuum insulation material, which is composed of a filling core material and a vacuum protection surface layer. It effectively avoids heat transfer caused by air convection, so the thermal conductivity can be greatly reduced, less than 0.005w/mk, and does not contain any OD material. It has the characteristics of environmental protection and high efficiency and energy saving, and is currently the most efficient insulation material in the world. VIP is mainly used for insulation and heat preservation, such as refrigerators, cryogenic freezers, electric water heaters, automatic vending machines, freezers, refrigerated containers, building wall insulation, and LNG storage and transportation, with a wide range of market applications.

VIPThe quality of a vacuum insulation board is determined by its vacuum leakage and insulation effect, and is usually measured by its thermal conductivity value. In the insulation material industry, the commonly used method for measuring thermal conductivity is the heat flow method, which is characterized by high accuracy. However, the time required to detect a VIP board is generally 1-2 hours. Therefore, this method is difficult to apply to the quality inspection of a large number of VIP boards.
