3990-03 is widely used in filter unit systems with flow rates not exceeding 2000cfm (3400m3/h), such as biosafety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, negative pressure filtration units, filtration modules, or movable clean units.

After the high-efficiency filter is put into operation, if there are leakage points or gaps due to insufficient installation, the predetermined purification effect cannot be achieved, and a leak test must be conducted on the high-efficiency filter. Due to the low concentration of atmospheric dust upstream of the tested high-efficiency filter, an aerosol generator needs to be used to supplement the dust to meet the testing conditions. By using an aerosol photometer to test the concentration of suspended particles upstream of the high-efficiency filter and conducting a uniform scanning test downstream, the leakage rate of the tested high-efficiency filter can be determined to determine whether there is leakage.
