The tablet press can compress granular raw materials with a powder content (100 mesh or more) not exceeding 10% into tablets of 4-12mm. This machine is not suitable for pressing semi-solid, wet particles, low melting point moisture absorbing materials, and non granular powders.

The tablet pressing process of a tablet press includes processes such as over filling, quantitative adjustment, pre pressing, main pressing, and tablet dispensing. Install the upper punch rod in the upper mold hole of this machine, the middle mold in the middle layer, and the lower punch rod in the lower mold hole. The power brought by the transmission components rotates the turntable, and at the same time, the upper and lower punch rods move up and down along a fixed track in a regular manner, thus completing the pressing process. This machine is capable of continuous feeding and continuous discharging.

Machine operation:

Open the electrical box door, close the power switch, the indicator light on the operation panel will light up, press the start button, the indicator light will slowly increase, and the speed will slowly increase. If you need to stop urgently, press the "stop" button, and the tablet press will immediately stop running. After the tablet pressing is completed, open the electrical box door and cut off the power supply.

Before using the tablet press, all oil cups, oil holes, and friction surfaces must be lubricated with oil, and the machine must be run empty to cover all friction surfaces with oil film, extending the service life of the machine.

Before each shift and after each shift adjustment, it is necessary to conduct an empty machine pressure test. After there are no problems, the electric tablet press can be turned on to extend the service life of the mold.
Selection of 3-piece mold: The working end faces of the upper and lower punch of the tablet press mold form the surface shape of the tablet, and the diameter of the middle mold is the diameter of the tablet. The correct selection of tablet type is the * step to the success of tablet pressing die. For example, chewable tablets require high hardness and are easy to chew, so most use beveled flat tablets; For those that require film coating, a shallow concave shape can be chosen. Traditional Chinese medicine tablets require high pressure during compression due to the absence of adhesives and lubricants in their raw materials, and the tablet shape should be shallow and concave. Tablets with high sugar content are best designed with shallow concave or flat shapes. The middle mold can be made of alloy steel or hard alloy. Deep concave die molds are prone to damage and should be used sparingly.

When replacing the mold, if the middle mold cannot be lowered, a stick of the same size as the upper mold can be used to gently knock the middle mold down.

During the tablet pressing process, it is necessary to regularly check the quality of the tablets (tablet weight, hardness, surface smoothness, etc.) and adjust them in a timely manner.

If pressing materials with high mineral and plant fiber content, large diameter, and poor viscosity, low-speed compression should be used. High speed generally does not exceed 25 revolutions per minute. On the contrary, if suppressing particles with good viscosity, fluidity, small particle size, and easy formation, a higher speed can be chosen.
7 Mold storage method: After cleaning, apply a layer of food grade lubricating oil (engine oil, edible oil can be used), put it in a special protective box or die storage box, place it on the rack, indicate the specifications and dimensions, and store it on the rack.
When operating or not operating the tablet press room, seal it with organic glass to prevent contamination.

After daily use, the remaining powder particles should be taken out and wiped clean all parts of the machine. If the downtime is long, the die must be removed and the machine's friction surfaces must be adjusted. Clean the work surface, apply rust proof oil, and cover it with dust-proof clothing; The die should be wiped clean and then immersed in oil for storage.

Precautions

Before the first use, carefully read the instruction manual by comparing it with the actual machine before use.
Do not touch the tablet pressing room with your hands or other tools during operation.

Materials must not contain metals or solid substances to avoid damaging the mold.

When replacing the mold, the power should be turned off.

When the machine sound is abnormal, the power should be turned off before checking.

When the machine is not operated for a long time, the mold should be removed and stored separately.

The granulation process of the ingredients before tablet pressing has a significant impact on tablet pressing. The formulation and granulation of auxiliary materials such as drug ingredients, lubricants, fillers, binders, etc. (including the condition of the powder, particle elasticity, powder particle ratio, moisture content, etc.) directly affect the tablet quantity. And often due to improper granulation of ingredients, it cannot be formed into tablets, and even damages the machine. Therefore, this machine cannot be used to compress semi-solid, moist, or particle free ultra-fine powders into tablets. If it is found during use that the pressure has been adjusted to a considerable level but still cannot be pressed into pieces, or if it is pressed into pieces but appears too loose, layered, fragmented, pitted, or powdery. We should identify the reasons and solve them from aspects such as ingredients. Do not blindly adjust and increase pressure, which may damage the machine. In addition, some medicinal materials may not produce tablets with high hardness, but they have a certain degree of toughness and are not prone to breakage when dropped from a height of 1-1.2 meters. Therefore, it is important to meet the requirements of transportation and storage, rather than solely focusing on hardness, in order to avoid excessive compression pressure and damage to the machine.

Common faults and solutions

1. The upper and lower pressure wheel axles move in phase:

Reason: Oil break and wear on the compression wheel shaft.

Solution: Slight wear, add oil after repair; Severe wear and tear, replace immediately.

2. Wear and tear on the track:

Reason: ① Dry grinding caused by oil interruption, resulting in track damage; ② Poor enamel; ③ There is too much dust, which generates a shock and causes wear on the upper track

Solution: ① Mild damage should be repaired in a timely manner, and severe damage should be replaced. ② The lubrication between the track and the punch can only be done with engine oil, such as 30 # gear oil or air compressor oil. Apply it once with a brush before starting up. ③ The granulation process should be changed to ensure that the particle content (above 00 mesh) exceeds 10%.

3 pieces with excessive weight difference:

Reason: ① Worn feeder or incorrect installation; ② Punching die problem

Solution: ① If the feeder is worn, please replace it. If the installation is improper, adjust it in a timely manner; ② Check the total length of the upper and lower punch rods. If it exceeds the tolerance range, stop using it.

maintenance

1. Regularly inspect the mechanical components, 1-2 times a month, to check whether the moving parts such as worm gear, worm gear, bearings, pressure wheel, crankshaft, upper and lower rail guides are rotating flexibly and worn. If defects are found, they should be repaired and used in a timely manner.

After one use or shutdown, the remaining powder should be removed and the residual powder of each component of the machine should be brushed clean. If the downtime is long, all the stamping dies must be removed and the machine must be wiped clean. The smooth surface of the parts should be coated with anti rust oil and covered with a cloth canopy.

The maintenance of the three stamping dies should be placed in a box, so that all the stamping dies are immersed in oil and kept clean to prevent rust and damage. Customized boxes can be packed in each specification to avoid installation errors during use and to help grasp the damage situation.

The place of use should be regularly cleaned, especially for pharmaceutical and edible tablet manufacturing, where there should be no dust or flying dust present.

5. Electrical components should be maintained, regularly inspected, and kept in good operating condition. The cooling fan should be regularly cleaned of dust with compressed air.

6. Electrical components should pay attention to the working environment conditions (temperature, humidity). In a good environment, the service life of the components will be extended.

The maintenance of 7 electrical components should be carried out by professional technicians, especially for frequency converters, which should be handled with care. Generally, they should be sent to professional manufacturers for maintenance.


Before conducting insulation tests on the electrical components of the 8 pairs of machines, all control wires of the main circuit of the frequency converter must be removed to prevent damage to the frequency converter during the insulation test.
