With the rapid growth of PerkinElmer's business in China, PerkinElmer headquarters has increased its investment in China. In February 2006, PerkinElmer officially established the China Technology Center in Zhangjiang High tech Park, Shanghai. The new technology center building houses various departments of the company, including sales, logistics, maintenance, and customer service. At the same time, it will further develop into a logistics and research and development base. A large demonstration laboratory in the Asia Pacific region has been established in the technology center, and specialized investment has been made to equip a 1000 level ultra clean laboratory that will serve the analysis and application of the semiconductor industry. In the demonstration laboratory, almost all of PerkinElmer's earlier models of life science and chemical analysis instruments can be seen. Multiple user training sessions are held every month, and value-added services such as method development and optimization are provided to customers.
