Product Details

EMGA-920 typeOxygen/Nitrogen AnalyzerIt is the flagship model and user-friendly instrument for oxygen and nitrogen analysis.

This is a high-precision and high repeatability oxygen and nitrogen element analyzer, suitable for material research and quality control in fields such as steel, new materials, catalysts, etc. This is a brand new product that has been optimized to meet the requirements of users.

The detection of oxygen is achieved by measuring carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide using a non dispersive infrared detector, while nitrogen is measured using a thermal conductivity detector.

Principle and Gas Flow Path Diagram

Place the sample in a graphite crucible, keeping the crucible between the upper and lower electrodes of the pulse furnace. A high current passes through the crucible to generate high temperature.

The oxide in the sample reacts with the graphite crucible to generate carbon monoxide (CO), which reaches the detector with the carrier gas. The released carbon monoxide gas can be directly analyzed after dust filtration, or non dispersive red detection method (NDIR) can be used to detect CO based on oxygen concentration, or CO2 generated by CO oxidation through an oxidant (copper oxide) can be detected.

The nitrogen element is released in the form of nitrogen during the heating process of the graphite crucible. After dust filtration and removal of CO2 and moisture, it is detected by a thermal conductivity detector.

high performance

Wide detection range and high detection accuracy

*Detection range: Oxygen: 0-5%, Nitrogen: 0-3%
*Detection accuracy: Standard sample: σ n-1 ≤ 0.3ppm or CV ≤ 1.0%
Reference gas: σ n-1 ≤ 0.02ppm or CV ≤ 0.5%

The detection of oxygen adopts dual detectors (CO and CO2), and the TCD detector used for nitrogen detection is a long cell type and has been optimized in design. Therefore, regardless of oxygen or nitrogen, a very wide detection range can be obtained.

Compared to traditional methods, signal processing optimization reduces electrical noise by half.

standard method

EMGA meets the requirements of analytical standard methods for steel, titanium, ceramics, etc

for example
*ISO10720, ISO17053
*JIS G1228
*ASTM E1019, ASTM E1569, ASTM E1409…

Humanized software

Detection interface

Humanized software makes operation exceptionally easy.

The extracted gas signal is displayed in real-time in digital form, and is also displayed as a curve along with the temperature level. The release curve graph will be automatically saved.

In the measurement window, the sample weight can be automatically registered. The results are saved in a data table for easy management.

HORIBA's original maintenance navigator

Notify users when consumables need to be replaced to maintain the best condition of the equipment.

The method and steps for replacing parts described in the maintenance navigator are simple and easy to understand, and operators can carry out maintenance work without experience and technical reserves.
