Overview
OX-TRAN 2/28 H is designed for laboratories that typically require extensive OTR testing of medium to high barrier materials. $r $n $r $n Oxygen Permeation Analyzer $r $n Testing Membrane $r $nASTM D3985 $r $n4 Chamber Test Cabin System
Product Details

OX-TRAN 2/28 H, due to its unique 4-test chamber, can simultaneously test 4 barrier samples, with a throughput twice that of traditional OTR instruments. The new dual membrane horizontal testing chamber can be disassembled for sample preparation, and the user-friendly interface provides real-time comparison of testing status and target limits.

highest precision

  • Coulox ® The sensor is an absolute coulomb meter sensor on the market that does not require calibration

  • The detection limit is as low as 0.05 cc/(m2* day)

  • Fully automatic temperature and flow control simplifies testing and provides repeatability

High throughput

  • The industry's fastest sensor response time reduces overall testing time

  • The double membrane detachable test chamber allows for testing 4 samples at once, requiring less space

  • Automatic testing method, one click start testing

  • TruSeal nitrogen circulation seal can eliminate the need for absolute zero point in many tests, thereby reducing overall testing time

The OX-TRAN 2/28 H high-throughput analyzer can test the oxygen permeability (OTR) of high and low barrier membranes without the need for humidification. It uses MOCON's Coulox absolute value Coulombometer sensor, which does not require calibration and complies with ASTM D3985 standard. The analyzer ranges from 0.05 to 200 cc/(m2*The wide detection range of day provides very accurate and reproducible test results.

The 4 test chambers allow for the use or non use of reference films for testing in triplicate within the same test. Choosing to run known standard samples as controls can improve the credibility of the results. OX-TRAN 2/28 H has 4 test chambers, which are easy to operate and very suitable for quality control laboratories that perform a large number of OTR tests.

This analyzer has industry features such as a detachable horizontal testing chamber, fully automated testing, and can provide higher throughput in the laboratory. It also has a QC testing mode that can display real-time comparisons between test status and target limits. It can be equipped with a touch screen operation interface, and versions without a touch screen operation interface can be controlled through the local computer's color graphical interface.

For over 25 years, the MOCON OX-TRAN series instruments have been reliable and durable in the market. OX-TRAN 2/28 H is an excellent choice for conducting routine short penetration tests in busy laboratories.

test method

According toASTM D3985

Standard test method for determining the transmittance of oxygen through plastic films and sheets using a coulomb sensor

Install the test sample as a semi barrier material between two chambers under ambient atmospheric pressure. One chamber is slowly purged with nitrogen gas flow, while the other chamber contains oxygen. When oxygen permeates through the membrane into the nitrogen carrier gas, it will be transported to the coulomb detector, where a current is generated that is proportional to the amount of oxygen entering the detector per unit time.
