The OX-TRAN 2/28 H high-throughput analyzer can test the oxygen permeability (OTR) of high and low barrier membranes without the need for humidification. It uses MOCON's Coulox absolute value Coulombometer sensor, which does not require calibration and complies with ASTM D3985 standard. The analyzer ranges from 0.05 to 200 cc/(m2*The wide detection range of day provides very accurate and reproducible test results.
The 4 test chambers allow for the use or non use of reference films for testing in triplicate within the same test. Choosing to run known standard samples as controls can improve the credibility of the results. Install the test sample as a semi barrier material between two chambers under ambient atmospheric pressure. One chamber is slowly purged with nitrogen gas flow, while the other chamber contains oxygen. When oxygen permeates through the membrane into the nitrogen carrier gas, it will be transported to the coulomb detector, where a current is generated that is proportional to the amount of oxygen entering the detector per unit time.
