OX-TRAN 2/40 series packagingOxygen permeation analyzer
The OX-TRAN 2/40 series is the next generation improved version for conducting oxygen permeability (OTR) testing on overall packaging. These advanced analyzers integrate MOCON's mature OTR analyzer system and precise environmental chambers, taking the accuracy, repeatability, and ease of use of packaging testing to a whole new level. With special features designed specifically for packaging testing, they greatly shorten the overall testing time, while the design of the new packaging testing chamber makes it easy to prepare samples and improves the reproducibility of test results. They have 4 independent testing chambers with replaceable test chamber boxes, which can conveniently and accurately test various sizes and types of packaging, many of which do not require the use of epoxy resin.

The Ox Tran 2/40 series integral packaging testing analyzer can test the oxygen permeation rate (OTR) of films and integral packaging from low to high barrier. They use Coulox absolute value Coulombometer sensors using MOCON, which do not require calibration and comply with ASTM D3985 standards. Four independent test chambers can conduct different tests simultaneously under precisely controlled environmental conditions (from 10 to 50 degrees Celsius, dry to 90% humidity).
We offer a variety of testing boxes that can conveniently and accurately test trays, bottles, flexible containers, small bags, cups, bottle caps, paper boxes, films, and other types of samples. Customized test chambers can also be used to simplify sample preparation and improve test repeatability.

This high-precision instrument series has two models, each with a different lower limit detection coefficient.
H-type (common barrier material) - commonly used detection range is 0.00025 to 1 cc/package * day
L-type (high barrier material) - capable of achieving a detection limit 10 times lower than H-type, with a detection range of 0.000025 to 1 cc/package * day

Install the test sample as a semi barrier material between two chambers under ambient atmospheric pressure. One chamber is slowly purged with nitrogen gas flow, while the other chamber contains oxygen. When oxygen permeates through the membrane into the nitrogen carrier gas, it will be transported to the coulomb detector, where a current is generated that is proportional to the amount of oxygen entering the detector per unit time.
