OX-TRAN 2/22 seriesOxygen permeation analyzerOX-TRAN 2/22 series -2 batteries
The OX-TRAN 2/22 series 2-core high-performance analyzer can test the oxygen permeability (OTR) of films and packaging from low barrier to very high barrier. Used for packaging and filmOxygen permeation analyzerEasy to use and provides a short testing time in the market. They have 2 independent units with replaceable horizontal test boxes, which can easily and accurately test various sample sizes and types.
Z high accuracy
Obtain the exclusive COUPOX ® The sensor is an absolute Coulomb sensor on the market, which does not require calibration
The low detection level of any available instrument is as low as 0.0005 cc/(m2 × day) (10X model)
Fully automatic temperature, flow, and relative humidity control simplifies testing and provides repeatability
Z optimal throughput
Fast sensor response time in the industry can shorten overall testing time
Detachable test box enables fast and easy sample preparation
Automated testing methods can start testing with just one button press
TruSeal ® Gas flushing of the surrounding seal can eliminate the need for individual zeroing in many tests, thereby shortening the overall testing time
The 2/22 series adopts MOCON's specialized * COUPOX absolute (intrinsic) coulombic sensor, which does not require calibration and is ASTM D3985. It is an instrument series that has been independently tested and proven to meet accuracy and bias requirements by a third party.
This high-precision instrument series has three models, each with different lower detection limit factors:
H model (common barrier) - popular detection range from 0.05 to 200 cc/(m2 × day)
L model (high barrier) - capable of achieving 10 times lower performance than H model, providing a range of 0.005 to 200 cc/(m2 × day)
10X model (ultra-high barrier) - has a detection level that is lower than the industry's z, 100 times lower than the H model, with a detection range of 0.0005 to 200 cc/(m2 × day).
Its detection limit is 200 cc/(m2 × day), which can be extended to normal 100% O2 (coefficient 4.8) or various sizes of masking by using a reduced area film test box (factor × 9), any model with atmospheric oxygen in place. This series has industry features such as detachable and interchangeable level test boxes, easy-to-use touchscreen operator interfaces, and fully automated testing that provides higher throughput in the laboratory.
For 25 years, MOCON's OX-TRAN series instruments have been trusted and durable in the market. From simple single-layer barriers to complex multi-layer barriers, the OX-TRAN 2/22 series is the right choice.

test method
According to ASTM D3985
Standard test method for determining the transmittance of oxygen through plastic films and sheets using a coulomb sensor
Install the test sample as a semi barrier material between two chambers under ambient atmospheric pressure. One chamber is slowly purged with nitrogen gas flow, while the other chamber contains oxygen. When oxygen permeates through the membrane into the nitrogen carrier gas, it will be transported to the coulomb detector, where a current is generated that is proportional to the amount of oxygen entering the detector per unit time.
